Job Description As a Workshop Technician you will be part of the Onshore Operations team and be responsible for maintaining and servicing Claxton and our client’s rental and purchase equipment. Within this role you will be able to apply your skills across a wide variety of offshore equipment and will play an important part in the delivery of projects all around the world. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Refurbishment and preparation of Claxton purchase and rental equipment in accordance to Claxton procedures. Refurbishment and preparation of Clients equipment in accordance to Claxton procedures. Preparation of new equipment for use offshore. Preparing equipment and tools for job load-outs, as per Claxton procedures. Service Claxton and Clients own equipment, as per Claxton procedures. Maintenance and upkeep of all provided protective equipment and tooling. General housekeeping of all workshop areas. Deliveries and collections to/ from clients and suppliers. Provide for out of hours cover on a rota basis. Required Skills You will be educated to GCSE level and ideally have some form of mechanical engineering accreditation. Demonstrable competencies in tooling and fitting techniques are essential as well as in torqueing, tensioning and pressure testing are desirable. You should hold a valid forklift truck licence and preferably have completed slinger/banksman training. Required Experience You will have previous experience within the oil industry and therefore be familiar with equipment and equipment procedures - from both a technical and health and safety prospective. You will have an understanding of NDT (non-destructive testing) and the associated methods MPI (magnetic particle inspection) and DPI (dye penetrant inspection).
