Unique W&H solution for zygomatic implant application
BÜRMOOS, Austria: W&H has announced its new 20:1 Zygoma SZ-75 handpiece for zygomatic implant site preparation and implant insertion. The new handpiece was developed in cooperation with leading zygomatic implants specialists.
In high-risk patients when there is difficult compliance and extreme bone resorption, there can be a limit to bone augmentation. In the maxilla, the use of zygomatic implants is a possible alternative.
Easy access to the treatment site
Zygomatic implants are inserted into the zygomatic bone at an angle. It is crucial that the implant is positioned exactly in line with the specified angle. The new W&H SZ-75 handpiece facilitates interventions in the area of the zygomatic bone. The ergonomic angulation of the handpiece allows optimal access to the treatment site, thus allowing users to work for extended periods without fatigue.
Ultra-safe use
Conventional surgical handpieces do not provide adequate fixation for zygomatic burs. The new W&H SZ-75 is the world’s first 20:1 contra-angle handpiece with a twist chuck coupling system. It has been specially developed for application in zygomatic bone. This makes it a genuine innovation and ensures a high degree of application safety with high concentricity. In addition, the handpiece can be used with standard implant burs and is therefore universally applicable in surgery.
Efficient spray cooling
With the new W&H Zygoma handpiece, manual cooling by the assistant is no longer necessary, as the external spray channel ensures cooling of the treatment area. The spray emerges close to the working area of the instrument and cools the surgical site very efficiently.
